- Phone, text, and email. If you call, text, or email us, we collect the contents of that communication along with your phone number or email address.
- Service and billing records. If we perform work for you, we keep records of the work, the property, estimates, invoices, and payment status.
Information collected automatically
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. This involves cookies and similar technologies and may collect your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived at our site, and how long you stay.
- Advertising measurement. We advertise through Google, including Google Ads and Google Local Services Ads. Google may set cookies or use similar identifiers to measure ad performance and to attribute a call or form submission to the ad that produced it.
Call tracking and call recording
Some phone numbers shown on this website, in our advertising, or in our Google listings are tracking numbers that route to our main line. We use a call tracking service to record details such as the number you called from, the number you dialed, the date and time, the call duration, and which advertisement or page the call came from.
Calls to and from Spud’s Plumbing may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, dispatch accuracy, and record-keeping. Calls that reach us through Google Local Services Ads may also be recorded by Google under Google’s own terms. If you would prefer not to be recorded, please tell us at the start of the call or contact us in writing instead.

- Advertising and listing platforms. Where you reach us through a platform such as Google Local Services Ads, that platform receives information about the lead, including call details, under its own privacy terms.
- Subcontractors and suppliers. Where a job requires a specialist, a permit, or a parts order, we share only what is needed to complete the work.
- Legal and safety. Where we are required by law, or where we need to protect our rights, our people, or the safety of others.
- Business transfer. If the business is sold or reorganised, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction.
Cookies and your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of this site work.

- Most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is no common industry standard for responding to it, so our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your appointment, our arrival, or an estimate. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop these messages at any time by replying STOP or by telling us directly.
How long we keep information
We keep service and billing records for as long as needed to support warranty claims, resolve disputes, and satisfy tax, licensing, and insurance requirements. Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept only as long as they are useful for follow-up. Analytics and call tracking data are kept according to the retention settings of the services we use.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as full payment card numbers through a website form or email.
Children
Our services and this website are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights and requests
